Under no circumstances will Desi Manifesto, including but not limited to its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, employees, contributors, and the like, be liable to you for any damages, including but not limited to incidental, consequential, punitive or exemplary, arising out of viewing or use of this website, its contents, or reuse or derivations of the work therein. If at any time you suspect that you may incur any damages of any kind from viewing or use of this site or its derivative works, you must discontinue use of said sites and works immediately.
Desi Manifesto and its related companies, including but not limited to its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, employees, contributors, and the like, are not responsible for the content of comments posted or for anything arising out of use of the comments or other interaction among the users. Although Desi Manifesto has the right to, at any time and for any reason, delete comments and block or take other action against users who we determine at our discretion have violated our rules, we cannot always do so.
Submissions and non-exclusive rights
By submitting anything to Desi Manifesto, you give us the non-exclusive right to use said submission or comment whenever and however we see fit, including but not limited to editing, reposting on the internet, publishing in print, broadcasting, commercial uses, etc., without any expectation of compensation to you. This includes the use of your name if necessary, whether real or an alias. We will not use your email address or website in any kind of work unless you expressly allow or request it. Similarly, you retain these rights to your work without any expectation of compensation to us.
Submission guidelines
1) In the case of tips or news, please send us a brief description and a link to the story’s source if possible. We will mention your name when posting unless you request to be anonymous.
2) Regarding original works, submissions must be the original work of the submitter. If submitting someone else’s work, submitter must have express consent from the original author and disclose such information to us prior to submission. Desi Manifesto is not responsible for your unlawful reuse of someone else’s work or intellectual property.
3) NO porn, spam, ads, promotions, or attempts to damage Desi Manifesto, its related companies, or its users via methods including but not limited to viruses, trojans, worms, etc.
4) If you think you have an event that may somehow be beneficial to the cause, please describe to us in a separate email first. DO NOT send an ad over email.
5) Don’t send attachments. Any articles should be pasted into the body of your email. We’ll reformat for the site.
6) We encourage independent user comments. However, no comments are to be purposely inflammatory, hateful, pornographic, personal, or in any way infringe on anyone’s privacy or other rights, including but not limited to posting or linking to damaging materials such as viruses, trojans, spyware, spam, etc. We reserve the right to remove such comments and their corresponding users at any time for any reason.
We respect your privacy and will NOT sell your email address or other information to anyone else or any entities, etc. We will seek your permission before providing your information to anyone else unless obligated by law. We likely WILL contact you, however, before we post anything you submit. If you wish to make your email public to accompany a post of yours, you must make your intentions clear to Desi Manifesto when you submit your work. You will be able to make your address available in the comments section immediately following your post.
When submitting work, you are not required to use your real name. However, you may do so if you wish. Please make that request when submitting your work to us.
If you come to know any other email addresses while using our site, you are not allowed to sell, publish, or otherwise infringe on the owner’s privacy without his or her express consent.
We track hits to our blog, including the pages you used to find our site. This info at times includes IP addresses, though they’re not always correct. We do not use this information for anything other than research, which we occasionally present in our content, and it’s never identifiable to any person.
You may create derivative works by quoting, excerpting, or referencing content on this site subject to the following conditions. Regarding transferability, those working with you, including but not limited to your affiliates, partners, employees, licensees, and the like, are equally bound by our reuse policies:
1) Linking to our site is welcome.
2) Copying or reposting entire articles, posts, or entries is unacceptable. You may, however, quote or excerpt work found here, subject to all our reuse policies.
3) You MUST credit and link to Desi Manifesto. You may credit individual authors, posters, or those commenting as well, but at a bare minimum, crediting Desi Manifesto is required. If reusing our content in print, please print all links as well.
4) When excerpting or quoting, you must link to that article or post specifically. A link solely to our main page will not suffice.
